Matt Casort

Matt moved to Fairbanks in the spring of 2000 to attend UAF. What was originally going to be a short stay turned long-term when he fell in love with Interior Alaska. He came to Alaska to get his degree and teaching certificate, and then spent several years as a history teacher working with at-risk teenagers in North Pole. Fairbanks has been a wonderful place to raise two daughters, and build a life worth living.

Matt enjoys the outdoors, and found that’s one of the best ways to learn about Alaska. He’d like to use his experience to help newcomers, and long-time residents alike, get the most out of life in the Interior. Alaska has been a dream come true for Matt, and now he wants to help you create your own Alaskan dream.
